The tube covers a measuring range of 1 to 40 ppm, adjusted by the number of pump strokes: 2 strokes (200 mL) for the 1-2 ppm range, 1 stroke (100 mL) for 2-20 ppm, and half a stroke (50 mL) for 20-40 ppm. Sampling time runs from 30 seconds up to 2 minutes depending on the range selected, with a detecting limit of 0.25 ppm at 2 pump strokes.
This tube operates reliably across 0 to 40°C and 0 to 90% relative humidity without needing correction factors for either condition. Relative standard deviation runs at 10% for the 2-6 ppm range and 5% for 6-20 ppm. Each box contains 10 tubes, good for 10 individual tests, with a 36-month shelf life from manufacture.
Worth noting for site safety planning: ozone at 10 ppm or higher bleaches the reading, while sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide at certain concentrations interfere with accuracy in either direction. Mercaptans do not interfere with the reading.
