M36-2 Switchboard Matting – Type II Class 2 Switchboard matting is permanently in front of switchgear, motor control centers and other high voltage apparatus to provide an additional level of protection for electrical workers. The corrugated surface provides traction for workers, while also reducing the possibility of metal particles becoming embedded. Switchboard matting complies with ASTM D178, Class specifications with an AC Voltage Class 2, 17,000 volts. It is 1/4 inch thick, and is tested to 20kV.
